Carbon Footprint

All Grape Company growers are taking part in the carbon footprint study that was lunched by the South African wine and fruit industry.

The first phase of this three-year research project will be to provide a standardized, credible and scientifically robust way for growers to measure their carbon emissions and to compare these emissions year-on-year, focusing and identifying carbon hotspots with the objective of finding creative measure to reduce carbon emissions.

This will also provide growers insight to GHG emission hotspot areas within their supply chain, from which sound business management decisions can be made to address their carbon management needs and strategies.
